stargazing

wrap your hands around my waist

While the night slowly washes itself away

And I fall asleep to your heartbeat

And the world stopped when we collided.

I can feel your smile on my head

As your fingertips chase the constellations above

And we knew that wherever you are

We’d look up to the stars

And remember this moment.

The stars watch us from above

And wonder how oceans separate us

And the miles between

Have nothing on the way

You rest your chin on my head.

And as the light got distant

The stars told the dusky rays

To beware of the way I watch you.

As the stars watched from above

And were jealous of the way

My eyes shined for you.

And only you.
